
De- stress with a Pelo- break

I am a big proponent of using exercise to decrease stress. One of my favorite ways to exercise is with my peloton.
Like many people, I was skeptical of the whole pay this much for a bike and get a kick ass workout. First I tried the app, which was not half bad. I purchased the app with the intention of only doing the spin workouts. When the gyms re- opened after COVID- Lockdown, I was excited to go back into the gym. I didn’t feel comfortable enough to sit in a workout class. This is where the Peloton app comes into play. I would find a lonely corner and ride.
The the spin classes were the truth. I had never sweated so much in my life. When I would get off the bike, I pretty much needed a canoe. As much as I loved the workouts, I wished be on the magical leader board. So yes I drank the Peloton Kool- Aid and bought a bike.
MONEY WELL SPENT! The more I rode, the more normal I felt. Any fear or frustration would pour out of me with my sweat. The more I rode, the less stressed I felt. Getting the bike allowed me to workout at home too, so no crowds to worry about.
Now when I am getting tense from a long day in the clinic, I de-Stress with a Palo-Break.
